A Spectacular Marketing Push for Nokia and Microsoft’s Lumia 900!

We are talking about a free Nicki Minaj concert held in Times Square on Friday, in order to push the Lumia 900 Smartphone into the market.

Microsoft set organized and event in Madison Square Park on Monday, to introduce its latest new offering – Nokia Lumia 900 – the first ever US Windows Phone which offers the first of its kind high speed LTE network. Nokia Lumia, which costs $100 and comes with a 2 year contract, was listed as the number one smartphone on Amazon, yesterday.

Nokia and Windows aims to provide an unequaled user experience with their latest offering. They are seemingly trying to capitalize upon the high speed attribute of the device. Nokia Lumia makes use of the LTE network, which enables it to render the most complex of processes at lightning fast speed. The speed of Lumia is touted to be “much faster than the iPhone’s speed capabilities.”

New Yorkers, who took part in the two minute long demo of brand new Lumia 900 device or HTC Titan II device (also powered by the LTE network), were tickets to win the time saver prizes. The ones who were awarded tickets at random could tap on the enlarged Lumia 900 touch screen and win prizes which would help in saving time, like the certificate for a local dog walker or having anyone from the event staff member to wait in line at their favorite burger joint Shake Shack, which was located right behind where the event took place.

Since the LTE network is so fast, the event focuses on how the Lumia 900 saves you time with its fast speeds,” we learnt from the event coordinator. “It’s been a big success so far.”

Despite the roaring popularity and the hype surrounding the product, it was quite difficult for the users to buy the same as near about all of the 39 AT&T stores located near Times Square were shut for the Easter Sunday.

Nicki Minaj Sizzled At The Gala Event!

The latest music sensation, Nicki Minaj was hiered by Nokia, to help promote their latest product and create a buzz in the crowd. As she performed some of her most popular songs, the billboards across flashed the new device. Minaj included a remix of her song Starships and also promoted her new album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.”

Smarthphonbetatest – Another marketing campaign

In the meanwhile, Nokia launched another nationwide marketing campaign – the smartphonbetatest. The strategy was to convey that the other smartphones were only in the beta phase before the launch of Lumia 900. Although, the site was a victim of poor planning as the it counted down to zero several times before the day of the launch, each time only adding more hours to the clock.
