Facebook Timeline: Bleak or Better ???
Facebook was designed and created by Mark Zuckerberg with the vision of establishing an online social hub where people can hangout together, express themselves, their thoughts, ideas and interact with each other even when they are not physically around each other.
Since then, the Facebook team has always endeavored to make Facebook even more interactive, aesthetically appealing, enjoyable & yet a secure and safe place of social interaction for its users.
Many Facebook users find the timeline tweak by the Facebook team a little unappealing and even less secure.
So, here we share a few points to establish the fact that the Timeline is actually better than the older version as it has made one’s profile look even more appealing and expressive while being even more secure than it was earlier.
1. The earlier display of one’s Wall displayed, even to a stranger, posts about what one has commented and on whose wall/pics/status even when the visibility settings were strongly customized, thus increasing the risks of exposing one’s peer group to a complete stranger.
The Timeline however doesn’t display any such info about one’s personal activities on one’s wall when the visibility settings are high and is thus more secure.
2. The Timeline Cover is a way of expressing one’s attitude, instantaneous mood & way of life through a single picture. Thus the Timeline cover photo makes one’s instantaneous expression of thoughts “compactly-comprehensive” in addition to enhancing the beauty of one’s profile.
3. The overall layout and presentation of the Timeline speaks for itself.
The pictorial presentation of personal info and other details, the categorical display of one’s education and qualifications and the chronological representation of one’s journey of life since birth up to the present time makes it amusing and attractive.
4. .One of the many vital tweaks that were introduced as a part of the timeline was the Category titled “Life Event…” which is found on one’s profile page along with the options Status, Photo, Place.
Very neatly, precisely & categorically it displays a list of all those events which have been a milestone in one’s life, thus ultimately making one’s profile on Facebook an apology to his/her “life book” (“the book of life”-a biblical reference to the book which keeps a record of all that a person has done and experienced during his life on earth).
Thus, this enables the sharing of even the minutest details of one’s life in a beautiful and categorical display format.
Thus, the Facebook timeline continues to serve it’s true purpose of enhancing and creating a harmonious yet secure atmosphere for worldwide social interaction while equally respecting the privacy of its users and vigilantly safe-guarding them any against any scam or exploitation.

Dear Facebook users, Facebook was designed and created to enhance and facilitate online social networking on a global network basis. Socializing is in the very genes of Facebook. So, no matter how much some of us may desire, but we can never become completely stealth on Facebook, as we can never become invisible in real life.
The cover photo was a means of enabling one describe himself/herself more realistically & vividly instead of succumbing to just mere words.
The very nature of Facebook is to facilitate socialization and thus Facebook would always tend to make us socialize and even make others aware of us in order make the global network even larger.
