Amazon Kindle
The Nexus 7 has been widely acclaimed as the best tablet for using as an e-reader. It has the lightweight design and size that’s perfect for reading in the palm of your hand, whilst also being a powerful tablet. Amazon Kindle perfectly combines this design. The App brings over 750,000 books straight to your tablet, and the retina display creates crystal clear pages perfect for on-the-go and in dim light. The App is free and there are plenty of free books to get your library going. Amazon Kindle has combined the best of Amazon’s functions, such as being able to sample a few pages before purchasing, as well as syncing beautifully with other devices thanks to its Whispersync technology.

Netflix
A tablet as powerful, and a screen as High-Res as Nexus 7’s, should be showcased in all its glory through the power of film. Netflix subscribers can not only enjoy everything Netflix has to offer, they can also take the latest films and TV shows with them on the go, to be viewed in HD wherever they are. The Nexus 7 App also integrates with your Netflix account across other devices; start watching at home, then carry on where you left off whilst sat on the train. This type of simplicity and ease of enjoying your favourite media is exactly what tablets were designed for.
Google Currents
The HD screen and handy size is perfect for viewing on the go, and Google Currents is a great App to give you plenty of reading material. Currents is a state of the art RSS feeder pulling content from mainstream sources and niche blogs simultaneously, keeping you up to date with the latest news and opinions from around the web. The interface is polished and smooth and works perfectly on the Nexus 7, and although there are other Apps offering a similar service, Current’s offline abilities make it perfect for on the go use.
Google Now
Google Now is a revolutionary new app integrated into the Nexus 7. By combining user data, browsing history and location, Google Now tells you exactly what you need to know and when. ‘Cards’ appear on the screen to let you know the weather when you wake up, the latest score of the team you support, the traffic where you are or the time of the next train. It works like a dream on Nexus 7, with its fast processers and smooth integrated software, and combines most of your favourite productivity and organisation Apps into one handy reminder.
Google Drive
Last on the list of integrated Google products is Google Drive. The Android market is bursting with developers competing for top productivity App, combining the best of Office products and data services to keep those who like to keep working, working. Google Drive allows you to create Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents. No longer will you have to suffer with something ‘like’ Office products until you get back to the desk, instead take the desk with you as you enjoy full functionality of work based programmes, all of your documents (wherever they are) and on and offline capabilities, which works wonderfully thanks to Nexus 7’s powerful Tegra 3 Quad core processor.
Wizz Widget
Wizz Widget pretty much just allows you to show off with your Nexus 7’s capabilities. Wizz Widget combines multiple widgets for a completely personalised homescreen and maximum productivity. This turns the Nexus 7 into a hub of activity as stocks can be checked at the same time as Facebook and emails are updated just as the latest news comes in, all from one screen. It’s a cleverly designed App which takes the best of Android and combines it into one widget. Nexus 7 makes it look and work beautifully; you’ll be completely updated on whatever you want to be without opening a single application.
