8 Highly-Anticipated iPhone 5 Features

Everyone’s talking about the upcoming iPhone 5 – existing iPhone users expect a lot from the new device. Here’s a brief list of some of the most anticipated iPhone 5 features, all of which could make it into the next release.

• More Storage Space
iPhone 4S’s 32GB might sound a lot for a hand-held device, but it’s really not. And that’s because of high-definition videos, which are getting more and more popular every day. More storage space for the next iPhone is really a must!

• Redesign
Are you bored with the iPhone’s current design which hasn’t changed that much over the last versions? You’re not alone! There are many others out there who feel the same. What’s clear so far is that the screen is getting bigger, and with that, the case is getting a redesign. Will the redesign be radical? Probably not.

• Colorful iPhone
iPhone is currently only black and white. Many Apple users have been moaning on online forums, demanding colorful iPhones, like iPods. Will iPhone 5 finally appease them? Not likely. That said, there are plenty of excellent iPhone skins and cases out there that can color your current iPhone.

• 4G Support
AT&T and Verizon have been offering a 4G network for quite some time now. Will iPhone 5 support 4G? Many hope so, but now we just don’t know.

• Better voice control
There are already iPhone apps that let you compose emails by speaking them to your device (the conversion from sound to text is done automatically). Better voice control in the new iPhone is almost a certainty.

• Easy battery removal
Unlike almost all other smartphones out there, the iPhone doesn’t give you any simple way of removing the battery. Some think that good, others think it bad. Although easy battery removal is an expected feature, don’t take it for granted in the next iPhone: Apple doesn’t like to make devices with easy-to-remove batteries, and the iPhone 6 is not likely going to be an exception.

• Expandable memory
Some think 512MB RAM is not enough for the iPhone 4, and they’re upset because they can’t expand their memory. Expandable memory is a likely feature of the next iPhone, and if it won’t make it, there’s some consolation: it’s almost certain that the new device will come with 1GB RAM.

• Better hardware
The processor will get better, as will the GPU and the memory. Expect the iPhone 5 to have some of the specifications you can find now if you look at iPad 3.

It’s hard to say whether all of these features will make it into the iPhone 5, but what’s obvious is that the new device will be probably the best iPhone so far. And that’s enough, isn’t it?
